I've actually loaded out of there several times. The trick to the place is get there early in the morning if you can. I have never loaded there later than 11am, but a few times I have run out of hours and had to spend my 10 in the Wal-Mart across the street (which BTW is very friendly to truckers needing to do this!!!). And I can tell ya, later in the day, the trucks waiting to be loaded are backed up all the way to the traffic light, and parked two abreast!

Another tip, if possible, when making the loop before docking, drive to the left and hug the building. And the first dock (the enclosed one), is the WORST!!!!

I will also agree on the general friendliness of the people who work there!!

There are 2 salt plants in Watkins glen. The one near the walmart is owned by Cargill and the one North of town is US Salt. I have'nt picked up a load out of the Cargill plant in about 4 years. Good folks too.
