    200 bucks for being late.

tell them you were early and they owe you 400 bucks or reschedule.

and if they don't want the load. you'll find someone who does. and they can pay AGAIN for another truck to bring another load they might want.

or you can call the company. ask where a yard is you can drop the trailer and grab em empty. then the receiver can grab the trailer and unload at there lazy convenience.

Well I have to admit to rarely if ever gettin into it w/receivers--BUT--UNFI in Lancaster Tx--is a rare exception--when they first put up their late BS policy i questioned it--since there is no guard--and no way to access the facility except a phone #on fence which they rarely answer--and they ONLY receive in the wee hours--(and while I never have more than a pallet or 2 for them--usually have to sched an entire 2000mile LTL run around these ####)--Typically I have waited 15-20 minutes constantly calling to get the gate open---Even watched as they TRIED to collect fees from drivers I know where there LONG before I pulled up--and either vouched for or argued with the manager there over this---BUT it finally came to a head last spring--most of you will remember the tornando that went thru Dallas last year--you know the one that showed the Schneider wagons flyin thru the air! Well UNFI is just south of there--basically in a small Industrial park surrounded by newer home developments---well for all intents and purposes the area just around UNFI was fine----BUT the lancaster City PD had all but declared Marshall law--due to power outages etc---as 3 of us exited I-20 at School House road @3AM the next morning--we were met by a local roadblock--A very nice and polite local officer--informed us--that power is out in the area--and they are not letting anyone up the road leading to the industrial park--until the power company is finished working etc....OK cool--what u gonna do--officer was again extremely cordial and friendly--and realized the block should've been back at the intersection--so they moved the cars and allowed us enough room to go to the 1st cross street and turn around.......
Fast forward to next morning--now UNFI has a central office that sched all appts for its warehose--I go about makin DFW area drops that day and about Noon--call the office in Cali--they are really cool-say they understand and knew of the problem--gave me an appt for the next morning--(which really messed me up--but again--act of nature what gonna do?
Get there and the whse mgr is fightin w/3 drivers all ready there DEMANDING the $200 LATE FEE and another $200 fee for rescehd w/less than 24 hours notice--all three of these drivers went back to trucks to call for$$$$--Couldn't help myself this time---Looked at him--and said "You really gonna try that #### w/me ############!" "If you are late I will" "Even thought WE BOTH KNOW YOU WERE CLOSED YESTERDAY?" Tells me if I want to get unloaded its $400--asked him if he ever heard of #### cold storage in Ft Worth--he said why? TOld him thats where his #### would be.....
    Never been back!
    Sorry for long post

Good deal I never been to unfi but vistar is getting weird like that at some spots. One time a dude had posted there was a $50 fee to rent a handjack to unload the truck. After going back and forth for a bit I think he got tired if me he had one of his guys pull it off for me and I broke it down no fee.

OlHand I just had a run in with UNFI in Lancaster tx. 48 cases to deliver and they refused to let me unload it myself said I had to use the lumper service. The lumper service only takes com checks which my company doesn't use so I left without delivering the freight. They wouldn't take cash. So hopefully ill leave this at our plant in Carrollton and they can come get it here if they wang it if not I could take it back to jersey.
