This is the worst place to deliver. They charge 300.00 to unload and it has taken them over 3 hours to do it. It's crazy. They could care less about the driver sitting outside, waiting to be unloaded so he/she can head to their next pickup.

I've been to one of those places in the Carolinas; dirty run down place but the people I dealt with were nice. As far as lumper fee, that was built into the billing. I got detention pay also.

The MDV/ Nash Finch in Columbus GA are some of the rudest, slowest, and very expensive place to unload. I tried to deliver there awhile back and was told to come back the next day because they were overbooked on deliveries

Really the Columbus ga one in my experience is better than the one in Norfolk.

Both bad. There are two in Norfolk though. A mile apart too. The new one isnt bad, I think it's king wood dr or something like that.

yep the older one really sucks. Had a live unload there last year. Rude people. Set a 6am appt then get there and nobody home until 7 with not much room to park. Ran the forks through a pallet of olives then called it 'damaged during shipment'.....even as the juice was running off the forks. Refused it and left it on the back of the truck for me to deal with. Charged 245 lumper fees for the pleasure. If I ever go back to that one it'll be too soon.

The newer one the next street over is another planet. Nice people. In and out and much better system since they got rid of the guard house and you check in directly with receiving now. And thankfully d/h. Kinda tight drop lot though they'd changed the drop location last time I was there.

The new ones drop lot isn't bad at all, at least anymore. It's right off to the left as you come in the gate. Although last time I was there they didn't have any of our mts, but whatever. Ill bobtail out. I think they have over night parking there too, saw a couple trucks outside the gate in a little lot last time I was there too.

The one near DC will fine you 5000$ if you park your rig on their lot.
