What a train wreck this place is. I showed up at 7:30 am for an 8:00 "appointment". Took me an hour just to check in. The security guard who looks like Gru from despicable me kept telling me I'm parked in the wrong area to check in. Granted that's partially my fault, but he should at least tell me where to go... After I burned an hour doing that, I waited 3 1/2 more hours just to get a door. Then when I finally get into a door, the warehouse guys go on an hour lunch break! You've got to be kidding me! Once they finished lunch, they have the audacity to charge me a lumper fee of $125. I will admit though, the lumpers did get me unloaded fairly quickly, only took them around 45 mins. 2:00 rolled around and finally I was on my way. This was my home load too. It's one thing to entrap us like this all day, but on my home load???? Wakefern/ShopRite won't be getting any of my business for a while.

Are you talking about the Dayton warehouse off Tower rd? I used to go there 1-2 times a week back in the 2000's. That place is gravy compared to how Elizabeth was. Are the lumpers still the two Russian guys or did a service come in? Wakefern used to let drivers use all the power equipment including stackers and clamp machines. Dominoes and chinese will deliver too. My brother decided he didn't want to become a truck driver there after helping me unload a trailer. Good times, but I was glad I had a TV in the truck.
Wakefern's best warehouse was Middletown for sure. They always had laid back female receivers with none of the BS the Jersey ones had. I went to Breiningsville twice before I gave up trailers with doors. It didn't impress me. -
The roach coach that cruises that area has fantastic chili.

Accidentally posted twice and can't seem to delete it so I'll just say again: good chili.
