Ever want to bean some fool?

Sometimes you just want to bean some fool in the head. I load in Jackson TN a lot. The last time I loaded there I pulled in the bay shut the truck off like they request. You are not allowed out of the truck while they load you. They will not put blocks between the bundles. The thing that set me off this time was the fact that after they set the bundles on me. 50.000 lbs worth I saw him scan the barcodes and approach my truck. I cranked it while he was walking up to the cab so the air could build. He gives me the load sheet and I wait a few seconds more to build the air. Some old geezer in front is waving me out. I hold up my index finger (should have held up the othere one) to let him know I need a minute. He gets all frantic and starts waving for me to move. When I get my air built I pull up and tell him I can't move till my air builds. He shoots me a smart we got trucks to load. At this point I am ticked and say I can wait an hour for you to call me in you can wait a minute for my truck to build air...

Bean some fool......

Lottsa times in past. Those who "wanted" me to:
Want you to move out of the way...
Want you to get going, we need...
You want to set there all day...

I usually drug it out till he got up close and told him:
You want???
Want in one hand and s!it in the other, see which fills up fastest.

Then just stand there, or sit if in truck and see if he wanted to
up it a notch. ALWAYS LET THE OTHER GUY START IT, then finish it
for him. No need to drag out agony

How about extending courtesy to the driver? We work longer hours than most of the dock hands. They go home to a shower and home cooking. I know it's our choice but without us, they wouldn't have a job in the first place.

dummy probably didn't have a clue you couldn't have moved if you wanted too till you had enough air to release the trailer brakes.

On a empty flat when they set the load your truck has to build air to raise the trailer. When they take a load off you can see the trailer raise up about 3 feet.
