That is a load BS (nothing personal Mgassel ) but the store owners have every right to protect their property. Thats what I love about Texas and Alaska laws... If someone breaks in to your store or house and you have every right to do what you have to do to protect your property. I would not give a criminal the chance to get the first shot. Canada has some dumb ### laws...The criminals there have more rights then the victims..... Thats sad.....

WTH do Canadian laws have to do with this thread ... as opposed to any of the innumerable "dumb ###" American laws?

Real simple man.... I lived in Ontario, CA close to two years. I have seen on the news where a Toronto man was put in jail because he shot a guy that broke in his house while his familey was sleeping.( Not the first time this happened )

Well here were I live the police says that is what insurance is for and it is illegal to shoot someone to protect your busniess property.

However I have seen people charged for shooting someone for breaking into their homes with them being inside sleeping. They finally got the charges droped for that but I am sure it still cost the people a thousand dollars or more for the laywer.

I do not agree with the laws about the busniess property just passing along what I was told.

Plus I think if the store owner shot at someone for a few dollars worth of
stuff they should be charged. Because come on a few dollars is not worth shooting someone for.

If I owned a store and someone was trying to steal a few hundred dollars worth of stuff I may shoot at them maybey hit them in the leg but not kill that person.

Actually the texas law I was told even if you step onto the property with the intention to steal/ take anything including repo a vehicle the owner most likely get away with shooting that person.

Not true at all. I like much of the U.S., but I have no desire to live there.

I don't mind coming down and stealing your jobs though.

Uhhhhhhh ----
I think you should know what my jobs are before you come down to steal them.
HaiL!
I'd PAY you, or ANYone else, just to TAKE 'em.

But I sure appreciate the offer!

Personally, I've never met a state, or country I didn't like.
I just don't always agree with their politics.
Then again, I don't always agree with the U.S. politics either.
Who invented borders, anyway?
Probably some big-wig in the fencing industry.
