I would think twice on that..... There have been cases when store owner shot crook in leg....crook came back and won a lawsuit on the store owner..... Dead man dont sue.

Yes and no.....Depends on time of day. Nightime no prob... Repo man will get you into trouble unless he cuts lock on a closed gate to gain access to property and starts to take vehicle with out contacting you.... That will make him fair game.

Very good, I have a personal hatred of "repo men" and tow truck drivers in general. Most of them are ex con mouth breathers who served hard time.

I had a tattooed fleabag tow a broken down vehicle for me once. The car didn't want to come off his truck easily because the hitch kept hitting the ground. So he had the nerve to want to charge me $15 to lay a board on the ground to make it slide off the truck. I told him to go to hell and got my own board.

I take offence to that I use to repo cars and I was in county jail one time for 5 days for an illegal weapon that I got when I was a minor. Butter fly knifes are illegal here I asked well why do they sell them.

I understand you on the no good tow truck drivers they try to rip me off from time to time when my vehicle breaks down.
I had one that wanted 50.00 just to come and hook up to my car then they had the nerve to tell me it would be 2.50 per mile I hung up on them and called another place the wait was a little longer but I saved 10.00 for the whole tow I paid $ 40 bucks no miles.

There are some good ones and bad. I did that job once for a year. I cut people breaks all the time on the price. Once I was called out for a car that had run off the road and hit a small tree No major damage just pushed his left bumper in to the tire. I could have towed the car to the body shop and that would have cost 60.00. I used the hook and pulled his bumper out for him so he could drive it. ( took me all of 10 min of my time ) I did not charge him a dime, the guy thought that was nice on my part and gave me 20 bucks he was in his mid to late 60's..... There is no way I could charge that man that much for something simple as pulling a bumper out, eaven the cop that was there thought that was cool.

See not all tow truck drivers are bad..... But there are those that will dime you every chance they get.

Nice to know there are honest, kind, respectable men out there in tow trucks. It's like discovering BigFoot.

Im not aiming this at you but in Texas a legal repo has to have legal papers that cost money so the finance co.hires repo people to go out and steal the reposession.A man shot one in Houston and it was legal. There has been some here that steal everything thats in it.I know if people would pay for them but most of the note toters dont want you to pay so they can sell it over and over.

Hell I hear you there, my car broke down about a mile from where I work, so the boss called the tow company we use when stuff breaks down. Anyways the steering shaft disconnected and I ended up in a ditch right by a stop sign I was going slow no harm done.

ANYWAYS(again) He had the nerve to charge me $50 to pull the car back 5 feet so he could get the truck under it, then another $50 to tow it barely a mile down the road.

con artists!
