Stan Koch and Sons based in Minneapolis. They have a "terminal" there near Lawrence.

see what trailers are in their lot. Schneider does some Kmart, but I have not heard of a Kmart dedicated. We have a Sears dedicated = Kmart.

The Kmart DCs are not as slick as Walmart.

I like shopping at Sears for tool deals and our Green Bay Sears has a refurbished tool department. Kmart I shop also.

It seems like EVERY company's traliers are in the lot. Man there is a lot of Swift trailers...uh oh. I shouldn't say anything bad about Swift, I haven't even started school yet so what do I know? But still...

Knight does a lot of Kmart DC to stores in the west. We even run the Yard at their DC in Sparks, NV. Seems like those Orange trucks haul a lot for them too.

I went to the lot to take a long look. Lots of JB Hunt, Koch, Schneider, Werner. In fact, I saw a Werner day cab and a Schneider day cab. I didn't see Knight but I do see them on the road around here alot, so it could very well be that they are hauling out of there. I see quite a few Fed Ex trailers in the lot. Why is that?

If you go north on N. Iowa, turn left on Kreske Street, look to your left just before you get to the Kmart employee entrance gate, you'll see the Koch drop lot.

two theories:

a) the shippers are using the fedex system to sort their stuff for different distribution centers.

b) it could be returns coming from all the kmart stores
