Not when I went there. If you don't have a TWIC card, you'll have to pay an escort fee to get in the port. Think it was $25. The escort was a guy on a golf cart that you follow to your loading point. Then the same guy will come and escort you back out once your loaded.

Took part of a log cabin from PA to Colorado.

Goat trail, it was fun to say the least. This trail was on a very steep ledge, barely wide enough for the truck, looking in my mirror started to scare me about 1/2 the way back to where this 'house' was being built, the road became more and more narrow the farther back into this place we went, and the more i looked in the mirror at my trailer tires the more i could invision some loose dirt slipping out from underneath them, pulling the trailer off the ledge and then me with it. I worked out what i would do if that happened in my head (jump) lol. Finally got it back there safely though.

The best part was that i met the guy (contractor) at a gas station near there, and then he and his son followed me back. When he came to the gas station he got out of his pick-up and gave ole' betsy the double-take before he said "Wow.. I had no idea you'd be this long"

I'm thinking to myself, guy.. You ordered a house, did you think it was going to be on a straight truck?

Took him about 6 hours to unload it by himself piece by piece with one little bobcat with a fork attachment.

Good thing the load paid good, I probably would've quit! LOL One of those things that really sucks at the time, but is a funny story to tell later on. >.< It was much more fun than sitting there waiting on some warehouse to unload my reefer!

LOL. I've seen this. Some chipper trucks do the same thing on the ramp.. Although usually the drivers get out first!

Chillicothe Gazette in Chillicothe Ohio. Brought a load of newsprint that was loaded suicide for a reason. No loading dock, so they put 3 or 4 guys in the trailer to push the rolls out to the tailgate where another guy caught them with a forklift. Not a process I cared to observe so I walked to a nearby diner for breakfast.

had to back a flat bed out into the ohio river. It was at a boat ramp at moscow oh for the power plant. The work barge could not get close enough so they backed me into the muddy river. all the way to fuel tanks.
