I'm just curious, what would happen if you took a 34 hour reset at that very dock after they finally loaded you? It only seems fair. Of course, it would have to be a place that needs every dock to make it worth the trouble.

They'll just have the police come escort you off the property.

What we need is a "PAYBACK" that is realistic and doable. Any ideas?

When it comes to basic human needs, if a customer is not going to show respect, then NO respect should be given. PERIOD.

They would call the police, have you arrested and tow your truck. After all, once the product is on your truck it's your resposibility, not theirs.

I disagree. I refuse to let the rude, idiotic and inconsiderate actions of another cause me to act as less a person than I am.

I will continue to treat them with respect whether they earned it or not simply because to not do so would mean I am doing wrong.

What I will do, is carry with me something to use in the privacy of my cab so I'm not in pain or wet my pants. I'll dispose of it responsibly and then know that I'm a better person than they are.

Oh...........and I'll also say to them. "Alright, I just want to thank you for being so considerate of myself and other drivers. It speaks highly of the ethics of your company, employer and yourself. May God bless you today and may you know joy."

Usually the receiving clerk unlocks the door and allows me to use the potty then. I've had to do it 3 times.......worked all three times.

Sometimes kindness is vicious.

I'll keep this in mind. I am a well blessed man after all, and have had many doors in other walks of life opened for me in this way. However, I have also occasionally caved in to temptation, which doesn't always yield very good results, regardless of the profession or situation.

Would not let anyone in the building to use the restroom.

I drank very little that day and ate nothing, to avoid a accident.

Does anyone know if that's legal for them to do that.

I mean a portable toilet would be enough.

There are deffinatly health issues here. And i have seen restrooms with signs saying

"NO TRUCK DRIVERS ALLOWED EMPLOYEE'S ONLY RESTROOM"

Have any of you experienced this at shipper or recievers?

I wonder if the health dept cares that were being denied.
Im sure they are required by law to provide restrooms, I certainly would not haul loads for them, But in the mean time see nothing wrong with using their steps. If they want to be jerks then why should I care about them. If you need to make a solid deposit use a bag and leave it under the steps. It is what they deserve.

Nana, do you remember the brake check area on Donner (Nyack)? There are 4 or 5 porta potties there, we used to stop to use them until one day when all were overflowing because they wouldn't clean em out...they were overflowing like a steam under the door out onto the stop area...gross...totally gross dude!

I would simply piss in the open near my truck.

If you are a company driver it might get you fired. They could call the cops, but simply explain, you had been there over 2hrs and needed to pee.

I don't use porta potties. Sorry I know it sounds strange but.......ewwwwwwwww. I'd rather tinkle behind the curtain of my sleeper than to use a porta john. There must be a trillion germs hovering in those things.
