according to inter truckstop,chrw lost a 23.7 million lawsuit for liability,didn't check bachgound of truckin company before loadin.maybe now safety and professional attude is comin back in.anywho i like it

Well thats a large chunk o change! Shame of it is they paid #### rates prior to this happening , just imagine how cheep their gonna be now....:P....and honestly when a company is accepting to haul freight a such ridiculously low prices.How the heck are they expected to pay their insurance! Its large co's like chrw that could be helping the truckers by insisting on fare rates!!! To sum up my point,if chrw had of hired a reputable trucking co and paid a fare rate,they would still have their 23.7 million

I hauled a "Cheap and Heavy" load once, well, I've hauled a couple under Knight, but this load sticks out in my mind because it was such a complete mess. I show up to the shipper and they start screaming at me for being late, even though I am three hours early. They don't back down, I ask them if they are going to load me, or not, they load me, I calmly walk back to the truck, get the number for the customer service rep for this load and completely burn her a new one. I rip into her up one side and down the other. The reason being is they tried to change the times yesterday and she called me.

Turns out it was a done deal on OUR side, BUT Cheap and Heavy tried to resell the load to other shippers (no bites, because the routing was short 120 miles on a 300 mile load!) so Cheap and Heavy told the shipper I was going to be there, well, let's just say two places at one time.

Next I got the BOL and took off calling them all kinds of bad words in my mind (and calling the local police to report a illegal car on the road- one of them didn't have any headlights, turn signals nothing other than a radiator support in the front of their car! Have fun with getting home jerk!) Anyway, later down the road I look at the info on the BOL.

I never knew that I worked for Cheap and Heavy, or that I had a Cheap and Heavy DOT number on the side of my truck.

WTF indeed.
