| Re: Vale Steve Irwin God Bless Steve's family. I just read the article and am in shock. I watched some of his specials and he taught alot of kids about the wild. It figures, good guys like him get taken from this planet and scum like Bin Laden are still out there. |

| Re: Vale Steve Irwin Croc Hunter was one of the few shows I tried to catch regularly. I'm not really religious or anything but I do think he tempted fate one too many times, although I never would've imagined his killer being a stingray. |

| Re: Vale Steve Irwin yeah, i was watching the "Today show" and that's where i heard about it. too bad, all those things he did and something "freakish" causes his death. at least his closest friend was quoted as saying, "he died doing what he loved". i guess that's the best way to go when our time is up. he will be missed by many. i do hope one or both of his kids carry on the family tradition along with his widow. | Re: Vale Steve Irwin I caught the announcement early this morning, and was saddened to say the least. My wife was upset for a couple of hours, because she rarely missed an episode of his shows. He was one of my favorite people, and he will be sorely missed. What a shock. I thought he was invincible. My heart absolutely goes out to his wife and children. It's only a small consolation, but if one thing can be offered, it is that he died doing what he loved to do, and apparently he did not suffer. The thing is, I always thought a croc or a rattler would get him. |

| Re: Vale Steve Irwin I never realized that stinger on the end of a Stingray's tail could inflict that much of a wallop. The only thing I've ever been "stung" with in the ocean was having a jellyfish wrap it's tentacle around my ankle while walking on the beach in Mazatlan and that was bad enough. From what I understand the oceans around Australia are surrounded by killer jellyfish.
