| Uncle Bob......... Know to most of us only as 'Uncle Bob', my brothers best friend recently passed from cancer and I just wanted to post a little something. Ackerman, Robert Lee Robert Lee Ackerman May 24, 1944 - Nov. 16, 2007 Resident of Antioch Robert Ackerman, 63, passed Friday, November 16, 2007 at Stanford Medical Center, Palo Alto. He was a native of San Francisco and longtime Antioch resident. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. He worked as a truck driver for RMC Pacific Materials for 20 years, retiring in 2004. Robert was a race car driver, racing at Antioch and Chowchilla speedways in his #28 car. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Brown Ackerman. Son Vince Ackerman and wife Sarah, daughter Amanda Ligon and husband Mike. Sons: Cliff Knuttila and wife Robin, and Jeff Knuttila and wife Lise. Grandchildren: Mikayla, Michael, Sabrina, Kelsie, Lilly, Billy, and Kyle. Brother Tim Ackerman. Sister Penny Cochran and husband Michael. Nieces Abagayle and Prudence. Nephews Kevin, Tim, and Brian. Special friends Bob and Dee Marie Brown, all of his racing friends, the people he worked with, and all of his wonderful neighbors. Memorial service Saturday, November 24, 2007 11:00 am at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Stanford Medical Center.

| Thank You both. It was an awesome service. I think there were 250 people at the service itself and maybe 150 in attendance at the reception afterwards. They even brought Bob's race car down so everyone could sign it or leave a special message. It seems Barbara, Bob's wife, is going to keep the car and keep running it, letting the members of his pit crew take turns driving each week. Those boys are determined more now than ever to make sure they take it all the way this next season and win the championship in his honor.
