Randolph "Randy" Dowen

Hello Randy,

I never got to meet U or at least I don't think so. I'm so sorry for that. I wish I would have. I wish it could have been a day when U were still healthy. Then again no. I wish it were a day when there was still hope. I can only wish. I'm so sorry for what happened to U in the cab of that truck. At the hands of two poor excuses for people. I was glad to see that have finally started to get part of what they deserve. I want to believe that their journey thru the NC prison system will be a very, very bitter one. I don't think they feel remorse to this day. But this isn't about them. It's about U "little man".

Please be in my thoughts everyday. Help me to look at every child I see thru the windows of my truck, in other trucks, crossing parking lots, in truck stops, any and everywhere with new sight. Help to see the signs. Never let me walk away without knowing that I went the distance to make sure a story like yours isn't happening to someone else.

I could ask for one day. One more day for a chance to meet U. But I won't. I'm gonna choose to believe that U have been held tightly in the arms of JESUS. That someone I love who is where U are checks on U everyday. That they show U love like they did me. That's what I'm gonna ask for. And that U know I have love for U. I will try to show it in how I look at others so that I don't "miss" them before it's too late.

Randy, good night "little man" where U are until one day.
