Dear Little Boy....

This was posted on another forum by a friend. I know his mother is going to need lots of prayers....

This will probably be one long post, and maybe one of my lasts for awhile. It's filled with big tears, warning in advance. The last thing I want to do is sleep! I am so lost, feel so alone, an noone to sit and cry with. My world has ended, turned 100% upside down, so I decided to come to the one place where everyones always listend.. and to just cry it out while I type.

My Mom is a Survivor

My Mom is a survivor,
or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear her crying at night
when all others are in bed.

I watch her lay awake at night
and go to hold her hand.
She doesn't know I'm with her
to help her understand.

But like the sands on the beach
that never wash away ...
I watch over my surviving Mom
who thinks of me each day.

She wears a smile for others ...
a smile of disguise!
But through Heaven's door
I see tears flowing from her eyes.

My Mom tries to cope with death;
To keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows her knows
it is her way to survive.

As I watch over my surviving Mom
through Heaven's open door ...
I try to tell her that angels
protect me forevermore!

I know that doesn't help her,
or ease the burden she bears.
So, if you get a chance, go visit her.
Show her that you care.

For no matter what she says ...
no matter what she feels.
My surviving Mom has a broken heart
that time won't ever heal.

I left my children in the care of a very well trusted sitter, while I went to a job interview. Ethan went to ride a horse, with one of the ranch helpers, Steve. Everyone that helps with this ranch is like 1 very big family, we can all trust each other. So, even though I was not home, I trusted Steve with my son, just like all the times before. Ethan was riding a new horse, meaning he had yet to ride that horse. Steve told me something must of scared the horse.. Ethan fell off and than was trampled by that horse. I was coming home when I saw the ambulance turn into the ranch, I immediatly went after while getting the call on my cell that there was an accident. I got to the barn, seeing the ambulance workers surrounding my son, they put him on a strecther and rushed off to the hospital. He could not move, was mostly un-responsive. Once at the hospital they found broken ribs, a broken arm, bad internal bleeding, along with bad head trauma. I was told to prepare for the worst, and was told he needed emergency surgery, it was very dangerous with his injurys but he needed it. I kissed my son, and told him how much mommy loved him and they rushed him to surgery. When I saw the doctor walk down that hall towards where I was sitting, just not even 10 minutes later, I knew something was wrong. I was than told my son was gone. I had his brother and sisters go up to the hospital, and they were able to say good bye. Tonight is so very hard, I know I won't hear "mommy I have to go potty" during the night (he was mostly blind), "mommy im up" in the morning, or just "mommy i love you". He would of been 6 on Feb. 2, he never even got to go to a real school. I don't know what im going to do without my baby.

Please keep his Mommy in your thoughts and prayers.....

(hard on the eyes there)

That's so sad. I'm sorry she lost her little boy. At least it seems he lived a full life and had a lot of fun (riding horses and such) which she should praise herself for.

I've never lost anyone that close so cannot even IMAGINE how hard it is on her. I hope she has lots of family and friends to help her through this hard time.
