Ronnie Eudy of Charlotte NC was killed last night when he was mowed down by a driver of an SUV and then they left the scene when he stopped to help a stranded driver in Belmont NC last night. You can get the info on any news station. They just caught the driver she turned herself in.

I am sending this post out to hopefully try to raise money to help with funeral and expenses. He left behind a wife and 3 kids. They lived paycheck to paycheck..They did not have insurance or anything. Getting this out early but when I get funeral home info I will post it as well. She was a stay at home mom. Ronnie was an owner operator that has been strugging for about a year with keeping a truck on the road. Please if you can help with anything it would be greatly appreciated.
If you want to make a donation, please PM a Moderator and they can pass the info to SlickPeterbilt.........Thanks

I personally called the company phone number to verify the info.

Apparently Ronnie was a hit with the folks there as the person I talked to was about to cry when I hung up.

Hit and run victim died while filling role as Good Samaritan

Quote:
Ronnie Gene Eudy had just left his Charlotte home and driven two miles west on Wilkinson Boulevard when he began crossing the Catawba River bridge Thursday night.
As he spoke to his wife on a cell phone about 10 p.m., he noticed the driver of a car in front of him having trouble. So the father of three pulled his tractor trailer over and joined several others who were trying to help an ailing Dallas man.
"His wife said he was talking to her when he found out the man was having a seizure," said Eudy's stepfather, Ralph Ferrell of Cabarrus County, who raised Eudy from the time he was five. "He told her, ‘I'll call you back in a little while.'
