John R. Short Sr., 57, died Sunday in a crash

This woman should at a minimum be charged with vehicular manslaughter. You know if it was the other way around. That truck driver would have been blood tested and locked up already. The action of this truck driver were more heroic for his evasive actions. My condolences to the truck driver and his family.

That is so sad. My prayers go out to his family. I live 50 min. from the bay bridge. Been over it many times, but not in a semi. It is very tight, and not much room for error.

Am not going to say much. We share the same surname & thus remotely related. Your time comes up when you least expect it. At least he was loved & mourned. That is as good a testament any of us can have. Remember this & try to put forth goodness each day. We are all but ripples in the big pond. It is sad & good at the same time. He is remembered & missed. Hope the same for me.
