Truck driver found dead in Jefferson

Truck driver found dead in Jefferson
10/8/08

Quote:
Lincoln County deputies today in Jefferson found the body of a man who died while behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer.
Police said it's unclear whether the man, identified as Harvey L. Perkins Jr., 62, died because of a pre-existing medical condition or was fatally injured when his truck crashed into a ditch after veering off Route 215.
Members of Jefferson Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene shortly after 8 a.m. and found Perkins behind the wheel. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Deputies are working with the State Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death.
Perkins' truck was loaded with wood chips.

my heart and prayers go out to his family even thou I don't know him personally I work with drivers all day we see each other more than our own family's and think of every driver as a part of a extended family and its always hard to lose a member of a family. God bless you all and thank you for every thing you drivers do.
