And only Regan Smith isn't an open wheel driver from another series.
Remember when NASCAR used to promote stock car drivers from within the stock car racing ranks?
Back before The Brian took the control of NASCAR over from his daddy, Bill.

And he said that he is not concerned about empty seats in the stands, or falling TV ratings. NASCAR is the next CART.

Yup!
I think The Brian's NASCAR value has just about peaked out.
What sponsors can afford it anymore?
His whole NASCAR empire could implode and come crashing down right on top of him, --- lock, stock and barrel.

Unless,......................................
The Brian does as I predict.
Sell NASCAR as a turn-key operation,............... to the
Land Of The Rising Sun.

Then convert the yen into a pro-football team. That's what he's said he REALLY wants.
Can you imagine The Brian trying to go toe to toe with the REALLY big --- movers and shakers?
They'd make The Brian honorary linebacker for a game.
Then move him up to quarterback.
And a couple of sacks.

I often wonder which pro-football team would be a best fit for The Brian.
Any thoughts?
I'm not much into sticky-bally sports.
At least not enough to know which team could actually be benefited by The Brian's involvement, especially if he insists on total control like he does with NASAR.

I'm looking forward to watching the #8 car next season.
Mark Martin has been my favorite driver for many years. At the moment, and since the beginning of last season, I decided NOT to have a favorite, FULL TIME, driver.
It was pretty cool viewing the season that way.

I've decided that Rick made a mistake when he let Kyle Bush go.
And, I think if Junior can't score a championship with Rick, a championship just may not be in his future.

So, let's see now,................... next season it's the what,.........
Sprint Series?
And what is the Busch Series now?
I can't keep up with all these changes.
Silly Season A L L season long.
I bet the off season is too.

This is what i do not get about nascar, the most popular driver has been dead for years, the next most popular driver has not one a race in two years, and when was the last time he even finished a race? I am talking about dale jr. of course. I am glad he is moving to a new team were he can prove once and for all he is not his father, and he will not be able to blame it on the team, for HIS poor performence.
And i am tired of hering the argument of who has the best drivers, nascar driver should not even be in the conversation THEY TURN THE CAR LEFT,minus a few easy road course's in which usally half the field fails to finish on the lead lap. Thats talent...Realy?

YeAH!
It's so simple, ---- even a caveman could do it.
Especially if one tends to think like a caveman.

I think the ONLY thing easier than driving in a Cup Car, today's or yesterday's --- is driving a BIG truck.
Hail!
ANYbody can do THAT!
That's why the companies govern them.
Or castrate them all together.

Oh, and BTW, LillE never claimed to be his daddy.
In fact, ..... quite the opposite.
Junior claims he's NOT his daddy.

Hail!
His daddy's dead and STILL makes MORE money than most Big truck drivers. I think he's only second to Elvis.
But, ............. just betwixt y'all and me,.................... I don't really believe EITHER of them are dead.
Nope!
And I think Casey Jones still engineers trains.
But,........ that's another story and I'm tryin' not to digress,...........

Thank you for proving the point that there fans are unintelligent loudmouths, that woud rather sit at home on a sunday celebrating the acomplisments of other's rathar then geting some of there own.
I never said that it was not hard to race one,i said they should not be in the convestation of who has the best driver's THEY TURN LEFT,thats all they do,and as a specisal tool to accomplish the difficult task of TURNING LEFT, they have high degree banking in the turn at the tracks.

Yes most people can be trained to drive a truck. (This is for those drivers who need constint reasurement that there job is harder then it is.)THERE IS NOTHING HARD ABOUT DRIVING A TRUCK DOWN A ROAD,Mind numbingly
stressfull at times... YES, but NOT HARD. It used to be hard back when there was no power steering, air brakes, sincradized trannys, air ride cabs, beds in the cab thousands of truck stop's with hot showers, cell phones, laptops, gps, the interstate or even paved roads for that mater. simply put we are pampared today as drivers. The most run down pice of crap truck i have ever drove was still 100 times nicer than the nicest truck my gradfather ever drove. If you don't belive me, ask an old timer
Or (this might be a noval concept for you, READ A BOOK).

kurt cobane is acctually the richest dead celeb, according to forbe's top 100.....

You sure didn't.
In fact, you haven't said much of ANYthing.

Not trying to be rude here, but I wonder what a "convestation" is? Did you mean conversation? Hard to tell whatcher sayin' here with all the misspelled words.
Yes most people can be trained to drive a truck.

Shux Howdy, Red!
Don't stress out on us.
Competent Big truck drivers tend NOT to get stressed out while operating a Big truck. At least that's my perspective. Confidence and aptitude erase stresses.

I don't know about you but as for me, I have a hard time writing and spelling. But it doesn't stress me out any. I just take it for what it's worth.
Combrende, amigo. Or is it amigA?
It used to be hard back when there was no power steering, air brakes, sincradized trannys, air ride cabs, beds in the cab thousands of truck stop's with hot showers, cell phones, laptops, gps, the interstate or even paved roads for that mater.

Quote:
What's so hard about driving a Big truck like you've described? But, how would YOU know?
Do you have experience driving a "sincradized tranny"?
Hail!
I don't even know what that IS.
I guess you're smarter than I am, RedRock.
Of course, that ain't sayin' much because I'm about as dumb as a rock. ANY rock.
Just pick a color.
I think red is the dumbest (color) though.
(RedNation?)
simply put we are pampared today as drivers.

Quote:
I doubt ANYone could be more "simply put".
Simple is as simple does.
RUN, Forrest, RUN!
The most run down pice of crap truck i have ever drove was still 100 times nicer than the nicest truck my gradfather ever drove. If you don't belive me, ask an old timer

Quote:
Hmmmmm.
I'm wondering what condition that "pice of crap truck" was in BEFORE you drove it?
Being an "old timer" myself, I don't have too far to go to ask.
Personally though, when I need a question answered, -- I don't mess around with asking some old codger with millions of mile markers in his back pocket.
Nope.
I go right to the know-it-all younger drivers. Even if they DON'T know the answer, they'll come up with SOMEthing, --- to appear intelligent, no doubt.
Like I always say, --- if y'all need a question answered, ask a youngster while they still know it all.
Or (this might be a noval concept for you, READ A BOOK).

Quote:
And speaking of a "noval" -- or novel -- "concept" -- (no pun intended, I'm sure.) I suggest grammar books and spelling books. I find that when others can understand what's written, communication goes a lot better. Have you found that to be true also?
What was the last (comic) book you read?
kurt cobane is acctually the richest dead celeb, according to forbe's top 100.....
No kiddin'?!
Imagine that.
Kurt Cobane is worth more dead than alive.
Go figure.

But he sure had a fine taste for classy women.
Grungy!
Dude.

BTW, RedRock, if you're so down on NASCAR, why do you post in a NASCAR related thread? Aren't you more intelligent than that?
It's a stupid sport that only stupid people show concern for.
Right?
How concerned ARE you?

I posted because i had a question,And you being the blowhard(look at me, look at me) kida guy you are had to jump in and make a barely ledgiable statement trying to berate me..because i questioned the legitimacy of your preshes nascar.Point of fact I KNOW MY SPELLING SUCKS and in knowing that, i tend not throw childish insults to others spelling. (IE YOU).
Another point ogf fact, If you do not know what a synchronized tranny is
QUIT DRIVING A TRUCK IMMEDIATELY.
Point of fact number 3,both of my gradfather's were truck drivers my grandfathar on my dads side was a very sccessful small fleet owner( which my dad now owns) my brother is a truck driver, So i am confident in saying I HAVE MORE KNOWLEDGE of this business then you could ever hope to understand. I might take you more seriously if you knew what a synhronized tranny was( just to be nice i will give you a hint, you use one every time you SHIFT MOST MANUAL MODERN TRANSMISIONS) and also mr. old timer if you actually stated how long you have been driving. I might consder your remarks more carefully.
And finaly the color i hate most,is brown. because it's the color you are full of.......

Hornish never impressed me in a stock car. If I was a betting man, I would say at the end of the line, it will be between Franchitti or Villeneuve. Both men ran pretty clean runs while they were in stock cars this past year.
