| I'm sorry for the guy, his family, his daughter, and his girlfriend. It's always a trragedy when someone gets killed, and this case is no different. But, when it came across on the radio and the details started coming out, something about this story tripped my alarm and makes me wonder about it. This guy has/had a reputation for getting into some trouble and being involved with a bad crowd. And, there are reports that his home was broken into a week earlier, and the thieves left a large knife in the middle of the guys bed. yet, there are no reports of him reporting anything being stolen or missing, just the breakin. Very strange behavior of you are merely a thief, but if you are sending a warning to someone, a pretty glaring and obvious warning. Then a week or so later, someone breaks into his home again, which would imply that he did nothing to upgrade his home security in the meantime. And again, there are no reports of anything being missing, merely the breakin, this time coupled with a shooting. And they shot him in the groin and leg area, not where a shooter would normally shoot, but a leg might be where you would shoot to send a really loud message to someone who makes his living running up and down the field. Maybe I am being a bit out of the mainstream here, but there are some elements to this story that don't quite add up in what I have heard so far. if much more comes up in this case, I will not be at all surprised. My 02. |

| My BS detector went off too, Burky. The article said the family didn't want any information of his condition released, and then he dies from the wounds. I'd say this is just another tragic ending to another high dollar thug. Too much missing from this story to be able to simply say, "Well ain't that sad. Someone breaks into his house and shoots him." Basically I'm saying this NFL star must not have led the most upstanding of lives off the field. Where have the Walter Payton's and the Joe Montana's gone?

| his family and friends never claimed he was an angel. he was far from it. he has had his run ins with the law. at first they were saying it was gang related now it is more like it was a botched robbery attempt. |
| |||
| I have to admit, my take on this was wrong. It does look now like it was just a botched robbery. They have 4 junior gangbangers in custody and charged. One of them used to mow his lawn, and another used to date his sister, so they definitely targeted him, as opposed to being just a random robbery and breakin. I still have some questions abut the behavior of taylor and his girlfriend, since instead of calling 911 right away, they waited until after the shooting. if you have a cell, wouldn;t you call as soon as you heard noises in the house? And burglars rarely carry guns and do violence, so it looks like these clowns weren;t even very good theives. But, it looks like my instincts were off on this, and he's merely a victim. |

| I am still waiting for all the facts to come in..... One had been there a month ago at a party. The phone lines were cut. Taylor had been home for 2 weeks with a knee injury (missed 2 games). GF grabs the baby but not her cell phone? All you have to do is call 911 and they call you back and send an officer if you dont answer. Yes 99% of thew new phones have caller id and even if it is blocked it shows up to police. If this was truly a stupid is as stupid does, it is very sad. Joe Gibbs is a man who does change people around him for the good. No matter what, his family does have my thoughts and prayers they did lose him and will never be the same.
