SRT is Full Of sugar honey ice tea. iwent through all of that. i did the miles as a solo driver, gave them a team player attiude but then they screwed me in the end. they don't have any commucation with there is employees. break down do not commuicate with dispatch and vice versa. roger buckley is an as#%$$ who believe that you don't do what he's says he will take your truck and say you had them to recover there truck. and all your personal belongings will be miss by the people who came to recover that vehicle. Since i had been there since sept 07 i seen that over half of the fleet had quit walked away from there trucks because of this per diem things. but all in all they think you don't have a life outside of trucking andif you let them they will use you and send you packing.

Always,Always,Always drive your personal vehicle when attending a new company orientation. It is better for your car to sit in a secure lot for months at a time and be there when you quit,Rather than not be there and be forced to do the bus ride of shame.

:biggrin_2555:you have to pay for ever thing even thing keys, $100 for a tire if some one says it hard less than 80psi and you droped weeks ago and was fine when you left it. and logs, pre pass you payfor as a company driver and if you dont then you dont have the ezpass for tolls and ever time you get a comceck to pay for some thing then you better get it over the amout becouse comdate charges combackto you card or you have to pay it to even though it was campany exp you have to pay the comdat chrges.so you better get read to run hard just to pay the expseness of working for this company.

If you make it the entire year. You can go online and pull up your Com-Data account, and get the charges for your tax deductions. I done that when I worked for them. SOB's love to pass those cost to the driver.

The tire charge sucks. For reasons you mentioned.

Good luck on the job search.

Drivers are always right! LOL, Just read the BULL and try not to laugh. SRT has a Revolving door at the terminal in Texarkana, AR, But SRT will win end the end because the have deeper pockets and an endless supply of fresh drivers seeking work to reel in with half truths. The few that have stayed for over a couple of years have got the whole thing working out ok and know how to keep the boss happy. No one will get rich or have a life when it is all said and done. like that sad song" I just keep driving my life away."

earthbrown please don't be naive, Employers in the transportation industry will slander you. They use the good old boy system between safety men. I had one that cost me repeated jobs. He would fax back the forms with only a note attached requesting personal contact and then he would tell them what he wanted off the record of course. I finally got a job and stayed put, waiting for the seven years to elapse. There are folks that will black ball you

I've Been Driving For SRT For Almost 1.5Yrs Now.. Just Like Any Other Company, They Have Their Bad Areas And Good Areas.. Every Company Out There Is A Good Company, Pending If "YOU" Are Willing To Get Off Your Duff And Work And Leave That Drivers Door Closed! SRT Has Been Very Nice And Very Considerate To Me And My Family.. I Was Taken To The Hospital By Ambulance A Couple Of Months Ago While On The Road For Health Issues And Numerous Amount Of People At The SRT Main Office(From Admin Staff To Dispatchers)Called Me To Insure I Was OK. They Didn't Care About The Truck(Thou Legally Parked), They Were Concerned About The Driver..They Contacted My Family To Insure Them I Was OK And Such. And Very True, They Do Push You Hard, But Only As Hard As You Wanna Run. In All,Since I Started Driving A Truck Back In 2002, This Has Been About The Happiest, Healthiest, And Most Productive Company I've Seen Yet On The Small Sector...I Have Seen A Pattern Thou, Seems Like A Lotta Folks That Complain About SRT, Has Either Messed Up Their Own Career At SRT, Or Lied On Their Application.Example?Their Was One On Another Blog Talking TRASH From Nevada About SRT Stating That They Brought Him All The Way There And Had Him Sit For 4 Days Of The 5 Days In Orientation Just To Send Him Home, That Was Solely Cause He LIED On His Application And He Finally Confessed About The Truth On The 5th Day...I Know That To Be A Fact Cause He Was In My Orientation Class. To Give You An Idea, I Got My Truck In April Of 2010 And It Only Had 5Digits, Now In September Of 2011, It Has Well Almost 300,000mls On It! So, You Only Run Hard As You Want To.. They Are Very Picky About LOGS, Legal Running, Ect. So, In My Opinion, SRT Is A Great Company To Work For On The Small Company Sector. Now That CSA Has Been Activated, Yes, They(Just Like All LEGAL Running Companies)Are Going To Be Extremely Picky!Which Is Good Cause It Protects The Rest Of Us Hard Driving Drivers Out There Trying To Make A Living Out Here And Take Care Of Our Families And Keeps The Dangerous Igmo's Off The Road! You'll Know Who They Are, Jack~Knifed In The Snow, Ect. To Give A Grand Idea How SRT Is, Old~Man~Winter Is Amongst Us Now, And It Is AGAINST SRT Policy For Any Driver(Good Or Bad, Seasoned Or Rookie, Company Or Owner~Operator)To Drive On Ice!
    Y'all Be Safe....
