Well, I worked for SRT and as far as I can tell, they were a great comapany... I'm not sure about your people's priorities, but I got good miles with them, and I've never had a problem with my truck getting broken into by another SRT driver. I loved working there. Yeah, it sucked not being able to wash your truck, but this is why company drivers get picked on so much.... You don't look at what is important (i.e. miles, pay, hometime) to make a business work. All you see are the superficial aspects and the negative. I NEVER sat when I didn't want to. Maybe you shouyld reconsider how the industry was before people like you and others here started ######## about a truck wash... It's about getting loads and getting miles and getting home safetly to your family... This is what happens to a good trade when you get steering wheel holders who are just looking for a quick and easy buck... Good luck with that...

My company hands out master keys to all brands of trucks we run so we can let each other in if need be. Anybody out there with a Kenworth, International, and Freightliner worried yet. Imagine how many other companies do the same thing and just don't tell anybody. Do you feel safe at night when you sleep? Well look at it this way if you lock yourself out of your truck just find somebody driving a company truck same make as yours and have them try and open your door for you. Might just work.

A filthy truck can lead towards more dot inspections which can certainly cause you to sit so there go some of your miles.

Yup know all this now grrrr

We were at the yard on a 34 (glad we were not there for service lol what a joke taking 4 days to do a service) We went to go back out to the truck to get 2 logs that apparently got lost in their computers somehow lol. So went to go get his 2 logs and rescan them and I was gonna lay down. And low and behold the truck (and the LOADED trailer) was gone! Talk about goin into a tizzy! I was gonna lay down for a few before hand and decided not to, and went inside the terminal with hubby instead. Good thing I did. They decided that the trailer hubby's load was on was up for service check. Since hubby's truck was already hooked up to the trailer they decided to use it as a yard dog. All of our belongings in there...and a good thing I wasn't taking a nap.....i sleep nude! Had i heard someone come into the truck I would have assumed it hubby........ why would i think it anyone else? No longer felt safe in that truck EVER AGAIN after finding out all the trucks have the same key. Just another reason he is leaving them....

Wow, Theres a lot to be said first off there has always been a few keys they open trucks. Freightliner has 25 different keys for every 5 years Petes have like 15. They only make so many.

Here is the thing just because a company or another driver can't get into your truck doesn't mean its safe.

well, ask them over qc and tell them this is illegal and ask if they want to run it anyway. if they said yes. stop by the DOT and have them look at it.
