Lies, Lies, Lies.....Cheap Cheap Cheap

This company is the biggest joke we ever faced. They have no respect for their drivers....all they care about is the office staff and dispatchers. They don't care about the drivers getting home and about vacations. This was almost the second time they screwed up our christmas by not getting him a load and by relaying him with someone so they could get home but the #### with me. They have held my trip packs and they go on different checks, they can never answer questions in payroll about my checks--they can't access the system until Tuesday or the computers are down. I have never gotten a straight answer out of them. The dispatchers have sent me for loads late by sending em the wrong time, and sent me to the wrong places and never paid me layover or detention for sitting there because of them. About a month after i got my own truck, they sat me in Jacksonville, FL for 7 days, and i never got a cent for it. A couple of the dispatchers decided to see how long they could make trucks sit until the drivers quit. (I was under a 1 year contract with them for them paying for my schooling or I would have walked away a long time ago) I got my safety bonus and they combined that and my paycheck together and took out more than 50% of it for taxes. Which came down that i drove last week for free, plus got half of my bonus. Where is the fairness in that. They had a Thanksgiving dinner for the office staff, and i was there getting my truck serviced, but i wasnt invited to their party----DRIVERS are NOTHING!!! They have just screwed me everyway they can possibly think of. If you are looking for a company to drive for------DO NOT LOOK HERE!!! It will be the biggest mistake of your LIFE!!!! Good luck!!

Sounds too familiar

What you say in your post would describe a lot of other companies. Too many, in fact.

Yeah I drive a Swift truck
And that means one thing
It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

Star trucking, out of Morton Il. White Peterbilt 387 fleet pulling vans. Not to be confused with Star down in Nashville, whom I believe just got bought out by someon else few months ago.

What he has to say about them is probably factual. They have a fairly lousy reputation, and have had for a long time. Pay is poor, and they are a great place to start if you want to move up in the business. Implying of course, that they are the bottom!!!!

How can you determine that it is this carrier when original post never said the name of carrier? Just curious.

And Star out of Nashville, TN got bought out by Covenant Transport out of Chattanooga, TN. I read that a few weeks ago.
