I was just talking to one of them. He did not even get a check last week. I told him I use to drive for them. He said he is lucky to get 1200 miles a week.:biggrin_2554:

I drive for Star..BIG Complaint..the miles you get have sucked preety much since I started with them..averaging only about 1200 a week for miles..if you accept a run to FL, be prepared to sit there for two to three days making no money, and getting no dispatch out of there..

Hi everyone it's Clutch heavy... I just wanted to give a little info about the Star Transportation Inc. I'm in oreintation right now as of today and tomorrow if everything goes right :biggrin_25512:. The 1st day of class we did our piss test, road test, and alot of paper work they do give you 50 dollars for food for the couple of days that you are there most of the day is going to be spent at the doctors. 2nd day is going to be videos and speakers from all of the depts at star trans with a quiz here and there. Tomorrow is to talk to all of the others heads inside of the company and get assigned to a truck and hopefully start rollin ..... I will keep the forum posted about the company.. so things is 50/50 so we'll see once I get out there.

Well got my 1st dispatch and it is a relay load out of Nashville, Tn going to Michigan and it's paper like always. My truck is not in the best of shape when I got it, and it is going to be traded in a couple of weeks so I'll deal with it right now. The weather was nice heading up I-65 until I got into Indiana. Delivered the load friday morning me and another Star driver and headed to the truckstop. As soon as I go to the truckstop I got a preplan and headed to Port Huron,Mi for my pickup and it deliver to New Jersey on Monday. That's one thing I don't like is the east coast, anything east of Ohio is not me I took it anyway the freight is moving good I can't complain.. Well keep you posted ...

Well i'm back just wanted to keep jup with the info about star transportation (Nashville Tn) ... I left off with the load out of Michigan headed to New Jersey which is on the way past the house so I went home for the weekend, I lefted the house afternoon headed for New Jersey which running across PA isn't no problem. didn't want to drive all the way into the city until the next morning didn't have the directions to get all the way there... I stopped at a rest area just crossed the state line and took my time off. What I didn't know is that the restrooms and the vending machine was located inside the building and it was locked "Great" .. that's what bottles are for, so I wake up the next morning and head into the city get direction's and get to the Consignee. The street is now made for trucks and then to make it sweet the parking lot is the size of a family dollars parking lot and they have construction going on there to build and sewer plant and to top it off employees car are also there, but me being a trucker I back that #### thing up.I got unloaded and sat for about 2 hrs got a load and headed up the thru way into new york. I got there early like the others and had to wait. It was tight getting in to the dock good thing another Star driver was there to help me. Got loaded "Once again a heavy load" by now it's 5pm and I have 2 hrs to run before it's shutdown time. I got to the Jersey Pike(I-95) and shut it down for the night. They wanted to the load there Tuesday morning and let me mind you it's monday 826 miles not going to happen.... well shutdown time ... Keep you posted!!!

I lefted off on the jersey Pike, Woke up that morning and hauled ### all the way down I-95 to get the load there on time which it wasn't going to happen. I got down into south Carolina off I-20 and shut it down for the night. Got up the next morning and headed into Georgia got into Augusta and they was having a golf event so that make traffic hectic, got to the consignee and got the load off. Qualcomm went off as the empty call went through, and got another plan to pick up around the corner and head to north carolina. I get to the shipper and it a burnt, broken down storage building not made for trucks of course. So I get loaded with 90 bales of cotton weighting at 47,817 which at the time I needed fuel also. I get to the truck stop and whatta ya know I'm over weight. I call my fleet manager and he tells me to run with it :biggrin_25511:. Well I did re route myself around the scales which wasn't any problem. Boy pullen those hills was a peice of work, but hey I got it unloaded that same day. the closet truckstop was in south carolina so I head in the wind to get a spot and stopped for the night.. I'll holla!!!!
