That is correct. Honestly if you only want to make $300 a week and be out 2 weeks at a time then this is your gig. Otherwise look at another company. I am in Toledo,OH with 5 other Star drivers some have been sitting here since monday and we are all waiting for a load. If I have to sit in this rat hole over the weekend I'll be pissed.

Just got off the phone with Star(TN) and they were straight forward when I asked about miles and said it was slow around 1800 a week. Don't know when but will pick back up. I put in my application because if the miles pick up and being home almost every week, then it's just what the doctor ordered. We'll just have to see.

I am still working for Star Transportation out of Nashville and even after Convenant took bought them, I am still Loving it!! They keep you moving and it seems like they really do care about their drivers and will work with you when you do need to get home. Good Equipment..Good People.. and reasonable Benifits. and yes, they do take students. Students have to go out with a trainer for awhile but Star is a very good understanding company. If you are interested, call 615 256-4336 and ask for Jim.

I work For Star now and although live is not perfect, they try their best to do exactly what they tell you. Life is not perfect anywhere, espically in the trucking industry. There are minor mishaps but Star is not letting Convent dictate to much to them even tho they do now own us. Our Owner, our boss, still holds controlling interest so therefore we are kinda protected from the Covenant BS. I have three more years to go before I retire and I can assure you it will probably be right here.

If you like driving a decent rig, being out for two to three weeks at a time bringing home $ 3 to500.00 dollars home every week then star transportation out of Nashville is for you !! No raises,no bonuses, no orientation pay. If you could do better, do better !!
