training pay

The pay for training is .13 cpm, well at least thats what the website says

 

back in 1996 it was 75 dollars a day up to 5 days. so, if you ran 7 days, you only got paid for 5. I, like many others, were only in training for about 3 weeks. I was off on the weekends. Stayed in a hotel Sat. nights.

if i remember correctly, and it still stands, it is $75 per day out.
don't remember what the orientation pay is. it only lasted 3 days, then you get a truck, and out you go on your first dispatched run.

 

Nope! It's $350.00 a week! And i just finished up My first week with them. Maybe I'll get paid...maybe i won't!

 

Well its 75 bucks a day. This goes on for 4 weeks at least. Than the typical paycheck is around 475 plus. Its tough in the beginning but all companies are this way. If this is what you want you can handle 5 weeks of 300 plus a week. I've been with star for awhile. I've been asked to train but I value my space and my life lol. Lemme know if you need any extra help.

 

Just gotmy Pay recap in the mail and it's not 75 a day with Star, Morton IL! It's 70 bucks a day and they tell ya to qualcom in your hrs every day your out and on-duty driving and you'll be paid 70 a day for them...Sun thru Sat, ya right!! I got paid a whole 350 and netted 267 after deductions for my DOT physical and drug screen!! I ran almost 900 miles more than trainer and he got all the miles. I just prefer to get paid for evrything I do while under load for them!!! I don't care if I'm considered a "trainee"!

 

They really charged you for the physical and drug screen? How much?

 

I'm currently training with Star and make $350 dollars a week. That's what they told me when I started. They also told me that when I get my own truck I will be paid by the mile. It's none of my business what my trainer is getting paid. I need to drive all the miles I can to learn this stuff. If you knew what they were gonna pay you when you started, why would you expect it to change?
