I know Stevens does not currently allow pets on board their trucks. How serious are they about that policy? Is there any wiggle room?

You don't wanna get fired do you?If you wanna bring pet then find a company that does have a pet policy.Stevens is a pretty big outfit someone is bound to see your pet and call safety on you
RussianCrushin Thanks this. -
No pets on board see, brah

Just don't get caught. Lots of drivers sneak their dogs. Any driver that snitches on a driver that has a pet deserves to get shanked ! :smt068

I'd like to be to have a German Shepherd riding along. Just too big for a truck.

The Pet policy has wiggle room, you will need to have the pet approved, but I know drivers, and not those grandfathered in, who have had pets approved for a variety of reasons. It is unusual, but not unheard of.

Thanks to all with constructive advice. The only reason I'm asking is because I live in the Denver area and am thinking of working for Stevens. My brother is heading to Germany for his job with the Air Force and I may have to take his dog because he will be traveling a lot for his work and will just have to kennel her for long periods of time, which he doesn't want to do. She's an older dog, a border collie mix, mellow and sweet. I just think she would get a kick out of riding in a truck everyday and ending up somewhere new to sniff around and do her business.

It's tuff to have a dog and spend hours waiting in the meat patch. Meat plants and dogs are not a good match
