Hey guys I'm starting a new thread so this part is easily found from the school part. We have 11 people in my class heading to Dallas. Tonight I'll be boarding the bus in Denver, CO just after midnight. The bus is scheduled to arrive in Mesquite, TX around 8:30pm Saturday. The first day of orientation is Sunday and we will need to be ready at 7am. We will have to wait around 5 hours at the bus station while not found of this idea I'm sure I'll be waiting longer then that through the career. Another bummer is that I have come down with the local cold that is going around. I thought I had dodged it but on the morning of my test I woke up with the sore throat and pouring sinuses. Today has been the sweats sinus drainage and constant sneezing. I'm hoping it clears up soon obviously. Me and another student were awarded "top dog" with a tied 98% road score. He is much older then me and is a nice quiet guy. Anyways I'm still enjoying every part of this and looking forward to the next challenge. I'll keep you all posted thanks for reading.

You have a busy schedule the next few days. That long bus ride will be the worst.Take some medicine with you otherwise it will get worse.Would suck if you got the flu the first day of orientation and also the ppl in your class don't need it either. So please stock up on the medicine and orange juice.

I'm taking some otc sinus medicine it helps a little. Lots of people were sick up here with this including non students. We got a copy of the schedule it certainly does look busy. Our road instruction / tests down there is that one on one or group?

Make sure you tell the Doc at your physical what you are taking, Stevens is pretty strict on what they will allow people to drive while taking. Also you will he getting a physical some OTC meds will raise your blood pressure.
In other words, don't stock up on the meds until you talk to the insurance dept.
Hope you are feeling better, but be prepared for some really long days, you will he in class most of the day and on the skills course for a few hours in the evening.ajb293 Thanks this. -
Its just Tylenol and a nasal decongestant nothing that serious. Let me just go on the record in saying that Denver is disgusting.

consider having some cash with you and taking a cab from the bus station to the motel. The shuttles quit running about 1900 on saturday night and then are very busy shuttling candidates sunday morning. Clear it with your recruiter, but we reimburse that cab fare all the time. Several of you can share the same cab and bring the tper person rate way down.

Um... they scheduled us to arrive after 1900 to begin with and it only tells us to use the shuttle. I'm pretty sure all 8 of us on the bus are broke.

Get well AJB!
