I saw an ad for a company this past week, several actually. And it pi**** me off to see the spin they tried to put on "other" companies. And while this might not be the correct catagory to vent in....I gotta.

If you have to take more than 2 FULL page ads in more than one national trade magazine for drivers....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If you take a full page ad bragging about the size of your engines, 4 weeks before you have scheduled to turn them ALL down to 65 mph....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If you spend more than $250,000 bragging about how family oriented you are, instead of giving your current drivers a REAL raise....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If one of your orientation "points" include the subtle threat of not talking about your company on the CB radio....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If you call all your drivers "family" while forgetting that they actually have one already....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If you use 4 of the 5 Driver rated "worse" companies to compare yours to when it comes to how well you treat your drivers....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If you brag about most consistant miles, and your self imposed Fleetwide target per driver is less than 10,000 miles per month....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If you've ever FIRED more than 100 drivers with 8 or more years with your company, in one week....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If you've ever had more than 250 drivers quit in the same week....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

If your fleet contains Red Kenworths....well, You ARE just another trucking company.

I'll give you a hint or two; the 'magical' company is based out of Joplin,MO.
Its name contains the letters 'I,F,C'- NOT necessarily in that order.

i get it. it's just a jab at the big mill companies. the company he is talking about is CFI.

just another company - for "just" another driver....
