Is this pretty much a standard for tanker haulers? Or is it above avg?

All of them are a little different but once everything washes out pay is dependent on how much work there is. One standard in chemical tanks is hourly pay over 2 hours loading and unloading. Some companys pay percentage. You should expect to make 50K/year minimum pulling chemicals IMHO.

Yes we are now at .46 loaded .38 empty. Hourly pay is terminal specific. It might be more out of Springfield.

Despite what I was told about the slow down, I have remained fairly busy through the holidays. I will say the check I get next Friday for this week will probably stink as I only ran one load to Charlotte and have two paid holidays on it as well. I still think it will be around $500 take home which is not bad for only two days of work.
I will get a better feel of how things go in 2013 since I will have a full work year ahead of me. I started in the middle this past year. When things get back to wide open, I will save for the rainy days.
