If a terminal needed drivers bad enough they might hire you. I believe the website says 18 months OTR or attended an approved school. Not much happening in Southern Ca though. Closest terminal would be Parker Az and I believe they are all local drivers. I have never met an OTR guy based there.

I was wondering of any of you on here might know if Superior is still looking for drivers out of the Auburn Maine terminal. I live an hour away, so its not to far from me. I drove for Werner for 3 months, was treated poorly by dispatch, and couldn't go home until I got rid of the sold truck I was in, so I eventually quit. Right now I am currently driving for Performance Food Group as a local delivery driver and have been for 10 months. It's a lot of hard work there and would like to find something less physical, but also pays well, and is a tanker job. So would Superior even consider me? If not what other tanker company's might take me, since I live in Maine? I see Quality Carriers around and have applied to H.O. Bouchard (my father drives for them). Hope someone can help steer me in the right direction.

The Auburn, ME terminal I believe is hiring. All you can do is call and ask. Worst thing that could happen is they say they aren't. A great attitude and steady employment go a long way with them.

Weeble Kneeble would know. They might want a few more months experience but it all depends on the face to face and how much freight they are turning down.

    Weeble Kneeble Thanks this.

And they have been turning down quite a bit. Unfortunately, they're at the mercy of the insurance company when it comes to hiring somebody.

Probably. Only way to find out would be to call the Paulsboro terminal and talk to the terminal manager.
