Seen a Covenant this week, LoneStar.

It all breaks down to the "cool" ride. Nothing to do with pride. Reel them suckers in

10 years ago (and today with some) it was the Pete 379. You could drive one today....for .25 a mile. But who the hell wants too.

I have more pride in my paycheck, than to lower my living standards over a truck.

I agree I would love to drive a Big Bad Pete but if it means a smaller pay check forget it. I don't know why they think lonestars are gonna attract drivers, I don't like them.

The Lonestars are cool looking trucks for sure, but how do they rate compared to the other trucks in the fleet? How do they ride? What's storage like? I would ask about power, but once they get choked down to 62 mph, that don't really matter much. The only thing they will have accomplished there is you'll have more time to admire the truck as it slowly goes by.

I was just at the Phoenix terminal yesterday. Those Lonestars were a goof-up in International's part. They will be issued as company trucks (sorry, o/o division...SOL) and have some experimental motor in them. My guess is they wanted to try out the Maxx Force in some Prostars and somebody didn't hear it right. Also heard they got those Lonestars for the negotiated price of the Prostars.
