Not judging at all. I guess I missed your positive posts about anything to do with Swift. I'll go back and catalog them.

Wrong. I used to work for Swift. Feelings not hurt. I was just commenting on MY opinion of your post history regarding Swift.

I will be going back to work for Swift by the end of the year. If I couldn't handle what is said about Swift and Swift drivers I would never go back. By my experience on the road I saw drivers from large and small companies pull the same crap that Swift drivers are accused of. Granted, I did see some really bone head moves by newbie Swift drivers, but it wasn't a thing that was exclusive to Swift by any stretch of the imagination.

When researching for companies, I found the "negative" posts as useful as the positive ones. Its important to hear both sides, weed out the BS and then take a good hard realistic look and then do what feels right to you.

Swift fit the bill for us and where we were in life, but I feel we at least went in without blinders and its been good so far.

While I don't expect notarps to suddenly endorse swift :biggrin_25522: and I haven't always agreed with him, but I did listen and I THINK he would be happy if we suceeded, even if it is at swift.

There is always alot of anti-swift stuff, some earned, some just because they are easy targets. Can't let it get to you, have to ignore the bs and learn from whats left and you will do just fine :biggrin_25525:

I have always cracked on swift. The years I have seen what they did. The trainers they cut loose after 6 months. The 100 times I had to get out and ground guide them so they would not hit me only to find 2 people in the truck. The bone head moves I have seen that a drunk orangutan could have done better. Fenders and hoods duct taped on. That is the majority of what has set me against the co.

I do not wish for any driver to fail and have friends who have been with swift. I do not dog them out on the road. I may say something if they do something stupid that interferes with me or my truck. I have helped many swift drivers. Even slide their axles because they did not know how. I am a flatbeder and I know.

I was fueling and watched a swifty clear the hood with his drives and turn sharp and hit a O/O who was in paying for fuel. Still had 50 foot of trailer left and was trying to drag it across the hood. Kept backing up and gunning it to try to drag the trailer across that tractor. Totaled the O/O's truck. That is what fires me up. Sure I joke about swift on here, but when some sniffling poster doesn't like my views on them and tries to make me look like the bad guy. Here is a thought. Try to pull up in straight line without taking out trucks on both sides of you.

If more swift drivers did that maybe my views on them would change.

Another classic move. One of the yards in new york maybe? Not sure. Off of 95 near a town that has a big apple statue just north of it. Big huge tall swift sign in the yard. One of them backed into it and bent it over a little ways. Went thru there later and another one took it out all together...:biggrin_25523:

any big company that doesn't have A.p.u's , but won't let you idle is a crappy company. Was in phoenix recently and saw a covenant driver sweating it out in his truck with the windows down and it was hot. I bet he was well rested when he finally hit the road.:sign12::tearyeyed:
