I've always wondered, but never tried using....a space heater in a truck. Not talking about the ones large enough for your whole dam house....just one that is about the size of a small toaster.

yeah, a fire hazard, but the good ones anymore dont catch fire when they're knocked over. anyone ever use one?

    Wyldfyur and scottied67 Thank this.

You will be fired if you use one, they are dangerous in sleepers. Besides, you're a trucker, suck it up and find a good lot lizard to keep you warn instead!!

You could probably get one of those oil filled radiator heaters from Target. They're cheap and would work great in the smaller space like a truck. I just can't remember the wattage to run it. I have one back home, next time I will look for the wattage requirement.

Yes I would stay away from the element heaters for fire danger.

Been using one for many years,

    never had a problem !!

Mounts onto a small propane bottle. Only used for 15-20 minutes at a time.

yeah...but the one i'm thinkin' of, the grate is so small, almost like what you'd find on a stereo speaker, that you cannot even touch the element. and nothing like your sleeper curtain could either. my pops has one...maybe i'll swipe it next time i'm home. =) he's old....he dont need to be heated....LOL
