I have a Verizon Mifi card that I use with the laptop. I get 3gb for $35 per month.
You can get the Mifi for free at Best Buy if you sign a 2yr contract. So far, the Mifi has worked flawlessly. I have been in some pretty remote places, and it has worked!
If you are gonna be downloading a lot of videos, gaming, or streaming audio then the TS wireless is the way to go. If you are not streaming audio/video, then you would be money ahead to buy a network card or router from a cell phone provider.. -
sounds like verizon's mifi is a hit. my t-mobile is a miss. it works maybe 1 night out of 3 as i bounce around the country.

I use att, works well for what I need it for. When I'm at a TA I'll use points to get wifi and do hulu and such. Also use the free wifi in Texas rest areas. Do any of the other truck stops allow you to use your points for wifi?
