Swift will have e-logs in the not too distant future. New qualcoms are being installed over the next few months in anticipation of that switch. Your other questions are out of my field of knowledge, but there are several on here that can probably answer your questions concerning lease options.

The maintenance account is your money ... You can have one or not, your choice. If you chose to have an account you have to put a minimum of $.03 and up to $.20. It's your money and you can access it any time you want and can use it for any purpose.

I would strongly suggest having a maintenance account. It is more than just maintenance. It is also insurance for those times when freight isn't moving so the lease payment can be made. You can pull money from it any time you wish for whatever you wish by telling your DM to move it to your settlement.

Pardon Moi for stickin' my nose into the Swiftness of things, but an observation...
Y'all are going to have elogs comin' at you soon - part of getting used to them is on you. Its not so bad - mostly requires more planning, and paying attention to what kind of time you have available to get the job done.
OTOH, its my opinion that 80% of the switch is getting the support staff trained up and doing their job right. If its different for you, its WAY different for them. They put my company board on elogs well in advance of the rest of the company, and started with a handful of trucks to get as many of the glitches cleaned up before stickin' it to the rest of us. That helped immeasurably. Its going ok for most of us at this point. -
Hmmmm....apparently, Sales didn't get the memo. When I was there, most of the trucks were being turned down to 65mph and being placed on e-logs. Trips were still being booked for 72mph trucks on paper logs. Hope they've ironed that mess out since then.
Feel free to poke your beak in anytime. -

Agree, they just take a getting used to, and you just have to watch them closely, and remember that when you hit the T/S, hurry and go into off duty since it will put you in on-duty. There are some other things that you will have to remember to do, like the load info. It is so easy when you have paper because you are looking at the sheet right in front of you and you can see what you need to do, and the e-log, you just have to remember to go into that function. I can not remember how many times that I forgot to do this when I was on them with SNI, like forget the ld info, the new trailer number. Kinda like out of sight, out of mind.
