Rick is an ops mgr, Sloan is the terminal manager, but yeah, the QC is a great tool. And I agree, training should not have an accusatory tilt.

In principle, I like the idea but I see a few too many hairpin curves.

How about this one: Put your money where your mouth is. You want best in class? Pay for best in class.

    Go to forced dispatch.

Keep the sliding pay scale for experience.

Guarantee 2500 miles a week with a per mile, month end bonus for those who exceed it and guarantee no penalty for breakdowns or layovers.

Fire anyone who can't meet it. TM, FM, DM, SM or DRVR . . FKM!

Force your home-every-night operations and service managers to manage and optimize your fleets. Start them at minimum wage and incentivise them to work their ##### off to earn a living and keep the fleets moving.

Put the proverbial shoe on the other foot. Every successful load is a paycheck for everyone but for many unsuccessful loads, the penalties fall exclusively or exponentially to the driver. Cut that sh()it out!

Shrek: What's the point of a three-load offering, when all three loads are the same s****y load, picking up at the same place, with the same delivery on them?? :biggrin_25510:

You're still getting a choice of 3 loads right? Did tehy ever tell you that it would be 3 different loads picking up at 3 different locations, delivering to 3 different locations? Not trying to start a fight injun. If I worked for Swift or worked in trucking I would agree with you. If you are going to say 3 load offerings make sure it is 3 different loads with different miles.

It'd be better if they at least had some semblance of being a decent load. 268 loaded miles?? Get real.

I don't know how it is for L/Os but anytime I get a "shortie" it is invariably backed up with something tasty. Maybe not right off the bat but definitely before I get to the final. For me the only downside is the extra time involved in loading, unloading, etc. I know it's easier for company drivers. We have so little to consider when offered a plan. It's basically, "Do I have the hours?"

I've had identical load offerings also...except they were all 3 different load numbers....
