Often at the end of the day for the Post trip time I put just enough time but 5 minutes minimum to bring the hours up to an even number.

For example if today looks like 8:40, I will posttrip for just 5 minutes. Or if it shows 9:18 I will show enough post trip to bring it to an even 9:30. This way mac 10 is right on.

Came off hometime last Friday (they tells us that's the best day for freight) and grabbed a 1300 mile run that ended on Tuesday. I asked for a tcall solution figuring I could take it about 800 or so miles and grab something else and start to make a week of it. Nope, tcall back to Lathrop where I started from 58 miles MT to 58 miles LDD.

Got up Seattle way and accepted a 700 something load that would make about an 1800 mile week, just about got to the shipper and load was voided. Only other thing available landed on Thursday so ended up with just 1000 miles last week.

Not going to complain about that. Fred has gotten to spend a good bit of time at home this week because he was able to snag a few loads coming to Birmingham. He started official hometime on Friday. He'll be headed back out on Monday, but it sure has been good to have him here for longer than a 34 hour reset!

2960 and my week ended Tuesday. Could have taken a short one to Laredo for today, but trying to get home, and that would have been the kiss of death.

2400 for this check coming up but took Sat-Tue off. Ran the last 2 trips team, could had more but sat the better part of a day waiting to go pick up my ride home. By the time I deliver my next load on Mon will have 4100 with 2 1/2 days to go. FYI I'm a mentor so thats why the higher numbers. Running solo I was averaging around 3000 without much effort, probably could have pushed for more but tahts enough for me. Some tips have have helped me always have mac 10 up to date, I'm sure with elogs this won't be around forever. always set your pta as early in the morning as possible, you do mt call at 19:57 put your pta for 05:57 if you are taking a 10, not 06:00 all else being equal earliest pta gets the load. always be really nice to any and all office staff especially your DM. Terminals just suck plain and simple, just remember you get to leave eventually, they are there all day everyday. Avoid Laredo if possible and if you do get stuck there go talk to the planner and ask to do a few local loads and you will get out of there way sooner. If you are near a terminal that has lots of intermodal ask if they need any cans hauled. I have made some pretty good money for very little actual driving do this a couple times. Take EVERY load you can legally do. If you get stuck with a string of short ones then talk, do not yell at your dm about it. If he knows his job he will make sure your next load is good unless you are known as the problem child. Always make sure you are off shop status when you get out. If you called on road and they got you to a terminal then 2 people may have placed you on shop status once at on road, one at the terminal. Service desk can take you off shop but onroad has you in the shop and are the only ones that can change it. Hope this helps someone out there.
