Please show me this button. I don't know what you drive, but I don't have it. The first thing I ever do when given a truck I've never driven before is read the owner's manual. No where in it does it mention an override engine shutdown button...

123456, are you serious or being sarcastic? Hard to tell when the only other context is the smiley.

    Reading the manual is good.
(If it actually is in the truck)

I think back to my mentor...
A 30 year trucker, 8 with Swift, 1 year in his current truck...
Didn't know what several of the buttons did,
or how to pull up dash engine fault codes,
or scroll the dash display, or....... YIKES!

    Capthook,

Sorry bro. I'm in a 2012 Cascadia and it isn't there. I'll take a picture later and show you.

My Pete cuts off after 5 no matter what. It will run for 15 minutes if its below 25 degrees (says the manual) . Truck is APU equipped so I could care less.

idle shut down without an apu would appear unethical to me but ethical and managment are not on the same page usually. When I started with Transam i didn'y even know what I wanted in a truck now I know what I don't wanna live without. I don't want to worry about what kinda cooler is best or how to not freeze. A truck equipped properly has a tripack and a frig and prewired for a cb

Guys you must keep in mind these are swift fleet trucks Not O/O specced trucks so there is no (ovrd eng shdn) in swift fleet truck. No fridge hell not even the o/o/ trucks come with a fridge, haha I dont even think your allowed to put one in the swift o/o trucks haha nor an APU or anything for that matter. SO what is the difference between driving as an o/o and driving as a company driver for swift ?

Might want to get your facts straight. I am a L/O, and I have a fridge, 2000W inverter, and if I want, can put a APU on it. I have no Engine cutoff on it.
