But if he was ticketed it will be on his MVR jus not DOT reportable. The other thing to worry is the weight of the conviction. He should've said she was following to closely and hit him when he stopped at the light. It would've been up to officer to figure out who was telling the truth.

Here comes the first of the punishment....MANDATORY CLOSE QUARTER TRAINING. Fred says it's some kind of "backing" class. He knows how to back up. That's how we got in this predicament to begin with! LOL

    Fedextruck Its done move on

See told ya, it’s nothing... The backing class is not hard. An older gentleman says he been doing this for 45 years or something like that teaches the class.

From the hour I spent with him he is the Yes sir no sir, no questions type. He will eat it up ( yes sir,no sir). Make your time a lot easier and faster. Tell hubby to just get in there do your back goal don’t hit anything he will pat you on the back good job and that is that.

Of course this is If he takes the class at the PHX term. Forgot about that small detail.

I had to do the LCQT class in Laredo when I soloed and it was easy and very informative. We spent the time doing blindside backing at the terminal. After my flat tire/bent rim preventable, that is in the appeals process, I also had to do one at Jonetown, PA terminal. (Could have been done anywhere but I was doing a B Service.) That one consisted of telling the instructor what happened and that was it; we never went out to the truck and they have a designated area for LCQT. By the way, if he was assigned the LCQT he now has a preventable. It can be verified on the Swift Drivers website or kiosk under Driver Rankings.

Fred completed the LCQT class and a mandatory log class today. They finally gave him a whiz quiz for the accident (seems like they should've done it at the time of the accident, but he was going to be clean no matter when they gave it to him). There's been no further mention of turning his truck in for the mandatory 5 day suspension either. I think he can put this one behind him now.
