This is your ticket out of his truck and into another one - pronto. DOT and FMCSA will not be very happy to hear that Swift retaliated against you (should they do so) for reporting your mentor's orders to falsify your documentation that is required by Federal law. If you can, turn on your phone's video / audio recorder when you have that conversation about leaving the cracked windshield off of the DVIR at the end of the day so that you have proof if needed.

I can't believe that you guys are sitting - I hauled a load for Swift from MA to PA last week, so I thought they were too busy to get to it.

Ever think he does not have the money to pay for the repair? You may not know it but many O/O s are just one breakdown from being out of business...

I know he has no money... he has borrowed $60 from me. His pay stub is negative $346... he showed me. Not sure how that works...any who-
we are sitting at his choice. We did a 34hr reset 3 days ago and he went home... he did not do his laundry, and is waiting for a load back to AZ so he can get his laundry. BTW-we are in UT. We have been sitting for over 24hrs!

Now that's not completely true. I have a T2000 and the windshield will cost 350 bucks. Not only that, every Safelite I've called said they need at least a day advanced notice so they can get the windshield. Also, they have to plan an extra guy cause it takes at least 2 guys to handle this window. I have a crack in my but it's not on the drivers side or messes up my view. I just have to plan when I'm going to be able to get it replaced. But they did say it only needs 1-2 hours to cure.

####, my one piece curved windshield in my W9 was under $60 and took them about 15 min to install. The T2's are glued in and the rest are held in by the seal.

UPDATE: had a convo with my mentor about the windshield. I told him going forward I am listing it on my post trip inspection. His foot started shaking like crazy, I thought it was going to get ugly but it did not. He said he would call the glass co. today since we are sitting here for another 24hrs.
