How did I get into this conversation. I have more than pulled my share of loads of over 40,000, and had my share of loads maxing out at close to 79,900. I will say that I prefer to stay on the Southern routes, and under 20,000.[/QUOTE]
I know that; I was poking fun at you. You often comment on light loads, tailwind, etc and its often enought that, every time I get a 7k flatland load, I think, Squeak would like this one.

I know that here in Texas we use the UL to pull water loads out of Nestle and Ozarka in Hawkins. One day last year in September or October, they put me in a Day cab with super singles and a 75 gallon tank to get a test load out of Nestle near Lancaster. Loaded over 53,000 pounds, had room for more and weighed only 78,500 give or take a few pounds. It wasn't California legal, I think I got it in the 8th or 9th hole, but I've slept a lot since then so I'm not sure.
There is a dedicated fleet that does only water now out of Lancaster. They use their otr trucks but can only have minimal weight on board. The loads are generally about 46K. They run out of both Dallas and Hawkins.Last edited by inkeper; 07.31.2012 at 05.13 AM.

The P&G shuttle out of Columbus has 50 of the ultra light trailers in service for just over a year and half and they have had brakes replaced on all 50, the brake chamber bracket welds crack all the time and now the leaf springs are breaking at the ubolt. They are really loaded heavy and the engineering isnt up to it.
