I've had the dealer do all the work on both my trucks .. first was all under mfg warranty, so no charges to me or Swift. Second truck was out of warranty, had the 30 Swift warranty. Took it right to the dealer ... over all I had $10K in work done at the dealer that Swift covered ... After the initial diagnosis at the dealer, Swift wanted me to take it the their shop, said no, you already had a crack at when you certified it.

Here's thing Orangman ... you should already know how to do these things and have an established shop. Also I went into my used truck with $17K in the bank ... at the end of the first year I put another $15K into the truck above and beyond the $10K Swift put in.

You might be better off taking over a lease short term that is still under warranty .. look for a 12 or 13 with 18 to 30 months left. Get your feet wet without committing to a long term contract or getting yourself hitched to a truck you can't afford to maintain.
