Just graduated Swift Academy - Corsicana, TX - In-depth analysis of my experience

When does swift give you your certificate of completion? ???

 

I got mine on the last day of Academy.

 

I talked to a Recruiter today and they told me once you get that certificate to RUN away from SWIFT asap.

Once you have that and your CDL, you can apply to lots of places and get hired.

I won't tell you what company said WILL hire me as soon as I get that certificate in hand, but they start out @ .34¢ a mile for recent graduates.

If you are going to go the Swift route I have a word of advice: take at least a recording device with you at all times. Corsicana has a few good instructors and many lousy ones...lazy, no patience, or petty ....and one behemoth that is all three and more (initials MK). If you can get it on video all the better. Swift is involved with numerous lawsuits. I mean it was like dealing with a %$# junkie...they will F U at every opportunity. Don't bother saving receipts while in training. It was a good learning experience ...got the CDL but never learned how to go from a nigh run to a day run...thus OTR wasn't for me. So now I call N. Dakota home.
