    Really?

I've been here over 2.5 years and have never had an 8.

My current truck is a '13 Volvo with a 10 speed.

Just one mentor here and he was a great guy, stern but fun. He took training serious, if you backed in but the trailer and tractor wasnt straight he would ask whats wrong and make you do it again to fix your mistakes. I still talk to him often since we remained friends.

My biggest complain with Swift is the lack of miles lately and the huge disorganization of planners. I also cant see my family much since I cant afford to take the home time, I am applying to local companies back home right now though, havent heard anything yet. I think the hardest is to do interviews for any company since you might be across the country...

My driver leader is a good guy and tries to help me out, the problem is half the time I need help with something I have to deal with the after hour or weekend managers and some of them are d*cks or just lousy in helping.

oh and my prostar is a 9 speed, the volvo was too, I havent seen an 8 speed.

things will work out in the end...I hope, I just have to remain positive and keep running as much as im able to. I have a friend back home who is an operations manager for a hazmat transportation who will hire me with hourly pay but I need to get my hazmat and just waiting to have the extra money to apply for the background and stuff. I have a wife and 2 kids at home, rent etc so its a little harder for me to make enough money. If your single or even dont have a place to pay rent you will do fine.

As far as I know there's only 3 divisions, Regular OTR, Flatbed, and NW Heavy Haul. Not sure if dedicated accounts are their own division or not. If so I guess 4? lol.

The 8 speeds are classified as a 9 speed. And yes I also have a 2012 volvo with a 10 speed. The good thing about the 9 speeds swift runs are they are convertable to a 13 speed. And for a owner op thats a plus.

First they are 9 speed ... in addition to the 8 gears in the H pattern there is a low gear oppisite reverse.

Second only the o/o speced trucks are convetible. Trucks purchased soley for company use are not convertible.
