Beware of Swift. Not a good company. They do not pay more for experienced drivers. U cannot move from one division to another. The miles are limited, the pay is nil, and your truck is limited on speed therefore limiting your pay. If u get fired they will deny u your unemployment benefits. Not a good company to work for, unless of course u just recently came to the US thanx to O'bubble head. It's only advice. Take it for what it's worth.

Sounds like someone had a bad experience? I do quite well with Swift, I am also dedicated which helps and is something for people to try and get into if they can, I know several drivers that have been with the company for over 10 years and enjoy being with it, several just on my fleet alone. I average 2500 miles a week only working 5 days sometimes hitting 3k during that time. I also dont mind the limited speed but im also in CA almost the entire time besides my trips to Vegas stores once or twice a week and its still mostly CA.

They pay more for experienced drivers. You can move from one division to another. The miles are only limited by your willingness to actually work and if you aren't averaging at least 2500 miles per week OTR then you need to look in the mirror for the idiot responsible for your lack of success. If you get fired from ANY company you will likely be denied unemployment benefits (did you get fired and why?)....

... and yes we will take it for what it's worth.

I do not know of any employers that pay unemployment when you are fired. Isn't that the norm, you do not get paid?

The majority of companies have speed limiters on THEIR vehicles, not just Swift. Some higher, some lower.

My father drove for almost 40 years with several companies, all teamster union companies. He passed away 5 years ago and retired 22 years ago. He started driving in 50's. I recall him saying that the trucks were governed way back then. Nothing new and nothing usual. If I owned one truck or thousands they would be governed.

I would govern my trucks too if I was putting the fuel bill
