At the Greer, SC terminal a couple months ago it was going to take them 3 days to change an air dryer in my old prostar. I told them what was wrong when I got there and it wasn't just my word it was also the word of the 10 year deisel mechanic from on road and they still didn't order the part until the end of the second day. I have no idea what they did the first two days because you can't do anything without the new part. But I ended up moving into a '14 cascadia so it worked out. Seeing as I only have 57k miles and a fresh B service hopefully I won't see the inside of a shop for a while and even then it should only be for a B service.

only shop I have ever had decent luck with is Lathrop and being dedicated I can get it rushed normally quicker. Most of the shops just plain suck and the mechanics in my opinion are very slow, dont give a crap and some just dont know what they are doing.

As L/O don't you have a choice as to which shop you go to? Why go to a company shop? The $$ comes out of your pocket either way... Personally we have NO confidence in company shops...

I think L/O can choose any shop, I know O/O can for sure
come to think of it im fairly sure L/O can since my old trainer was a L/O and before his was paid off he said he never used the Swift shops and I know we used a TA/Petro 2 times while I was with him once for a bservice and once for a tire.Lady K Thanks this. -
I did have to wait until the following day to get in, but that was because the Cummins guy had a doctors appointment the afternoon I got there.
But he was pounding on my door at 0700 the next morning and had me done by 1100 - right when he said he would. -
In answer to your question, yes we can take our truck to any shop we desire. If you have a lease through IEL there are some stipulations on what you can and can't do to the truck. But, you can and can't do them wherever you want. -
What all can't you do to the truck?

The tire shop in Phoenix is a completely different animal. I needed 4 used tires to pass said DOT inspection and they really came through for me. 4 Michelin XDA Energy drives with 13/32" tread (1/2 of new) for $652 OTD installed. -

I for one am gonna miss the Fontana terminal. Will definitely change how I do SoCal loads. Guess I'm gonna have to at least try the "new & improved" Mira Loma....or whatever they call it now.
