What exactly do they mean by vlogging?
Does that mean no mounted forward facing video camera's, videoing themselves while driving, or what?

And I haven't heard of this applying to current drivers. No messages on QC, etc.

In recent weeks two well known Swift 'Vloggers' have been fired for safety infractions shown on their videos. Yes, the drivers own videos got them fired! One ran a stop sign on a video and posted it on youtube, how stupid can you be? I understand the stand Swift is taking as these videos can be used against them in court.

I would think of one were taping their driving habits they would be a bit more careful.

I guess stupid is genetic after all.

Had a feeling this was coming, depending on the date that started, it may have something to do with the you tube video "The ugly truth of trucking".
    I suspect many will follow.
The real ironic part will be the companies that have the driver facing cameras making everyone sign a no Vlogging contract.

No surprise there. I've actually always wondered why the mega's hadn't done this sooner. Hell I don't even like posting my truck number here! Guess I'm just a private guy.

As for that Truth About Trucking video... If that Abe guy ever gets cut loose from K&B, and his next potential employer recognizes him he will probably have a hard time getting that job.

I wonder if enough embarrassing videos get out if you will see them cameras start to go away? Enough videos of guys that can't drive hit YouTube Uncle Scam is going to have to get involved and next thing you know the DOT will have cameras and recorders on every truck and they will want us to renew our licenses yearly . It's bad enough I see all these cars record trucks going 7 miles over the speed limit, now we are going to wind up screwing ourselves into new regulations. If you cheat on your spouse on the road, do you make a video of it and post it to YouTube hoping your signifigant other won't find the video? There are so many videos out there of guys doing dumb dumbs and making mistakes I'm surprised the stuff hasn't hit the fan already. The person these cameras benefit the most is one of the two lawyers involved when it goes to court. I am thinking seriously about investing in a cam, and if I do it will run constantly to cover my big behind, but if I see other trucks doing absolutely horrible mistakes I'm not sure I would upload it to a public web site. I never have been crazy about the voyeur generation going on nowadays.
