That would be on 40 weeks ... run 50 and he should be over $110,000.

Besides, HOS won't let you run 70 hours a week. Every week, week after week. Yeah you can run out your 70 in 7 days, but you will have no hours on the 8th day and will be forced to sit for a minimum of 24 hours to recap hours or do a reset.

So, what exactly does Godspeed mean?

I think that most people think it means something very, very fast and quick.

But, you know, God does not actually move at all.
    God is still and unmoving.
After all, God is everywhere at all times and places, and has no need to move.

Actually, I don't even think God CAN move.
How do you move anywhere, if you are everywhere?

    See?
I have just proven that there is something even God can not do.

I always thought it meant something like warp speed, only faster. But now Moosetek13 has me thinking and my brain hurts.

It's all explained in the Nicolas Cage movie, The Rock. The entomology of the word Godspeed is to wish someone a prosperous journey.

Do you wanna know who killed JFK? That's in the movie too.

I've been on the forum for a while now,and read many a post detailing 'practical miles' and 'fuel discounts'. Well, I recently leased onto an O/O carrier and they offer practical miles and fuel discounts up to $0.50 cents off the billboard price. I was shocked at my larger settlements due to just these two things. Another thing that hurts Swift O/O's is deadhead pay. They would be better off running empty miles for free and having Swift compensate them $0.04 more on the loaded miles side.

My math shows that if Swift paid practical miles (additional $0.04 per mile),$0.00 on empty miles and $0.04 more on loaded miles and shared just half the fuel discounts they deny the Swift O/O's would realize over $300 extra a week in pay.
