That's awesome. I'm really surprised there hasn't been more talk about this. You'd think Swift would be shouting it from the rooftops if for nothing else PR. Nothing about this on financial news sites that report on SWFT either. Whatever, enjoy your raises.

Plant, if I had to guess I would bet Swift makes a big announcement when they announce 2nd quarter profits. Sometime in July or early August.

    Got hold of this today...

I went from .27 to .32 cpm. However at the six month mark I will be at .41 cpm which is where the .08 cpm raise kicks in. Newbies are getting .30 instead of .26 now with the big kick up at 6 months.

    Awesome thanks for the info.

IMO they should have bumped up new driver pay a bit more to compete with companies like maverick or even roehl but 39/41 after 6 months is #### good. Nice work Swift.

What makes a company decide to give the drivers a pay raise? Is it because the economy is getting better? Or are they having a hard time attracting new drivers?

It's attracting new drivers and retaining drivers the company already has.

    Shaggy Thanks this.

It's great for the flatbed people, but I haven't seen anything yet on the OTR side of things.
I'm not even sure where to find the latest rates for OTR drivers. I went on the Swift website but couldn't find it.

Flatbed drivers deserve more, I think. They really do a heck of a lot more work.

    Several things.

Management sucks, We rehired a bunch more = come back drivers
our former pay sucks = drivers stay here
We have new lanes = We are hiring in your area that we never did before in 50 years, we cut throats.
Bonus referral = Get your dumb friends and family with a license= $1500 ( over 12 months )

    or

Swift is a multi-billion company wants to stop turnover ?
Swift profit is respectable. after all these years, they could easily make the turnover rate below 10% by being the nations current largest fleet and the highest paid drivers.
Nah, that's too easy for 5 years.
